Shimla, Jan. 7 -- Even as Himachal Pradesh projects smart classrooms, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and digital learning as hallmarks of educational reform, the scholarship system for students in tribal areas exposes a disturbing contradiction.
Under a decades-old scheme, students from Classes I to VIII in tribal regions receive only Rs 80 per year, just Rs 6.66 per month, an amount widely seen as meaningless in today's inflationary economy.
