Hyderabad, March 25 -- Telangana Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao on Wednesday said the state government is taking major steps to strengthen agricultural infrastructure and safeguard farmers' interests, including sanctioning nearly Rs 500 crore for warehouse construction.
Replying to questions raised by members during Question Hour in the Assembly, the Minister said warehouses with a total capacity of 5 lakh metric tonnes are being built to prevent post-harvest losses.
He added that more warehouses will be set up at strategic locations based on the requirements.
