Hyderabad, Oct. 13 -- In a major enforcement action ahead of the Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency bye-election, the Static Surveillance Team (SST)-11B seized RS 25 lakh unaccounted cash during vehicle checks on Monday.
The SST team intercepted a car bearing registration number TS09FF 6111 near Maithryvanam X Roads close to Saradhi Studio, as part of routine election surveillance. Upon inspection, officials discovered Rs 25 lakh in cash being transported without valid documents.
The cash was reportedly seized from Sri Jairam Talasia, a resident of Flat No. 194, Seethammadhara (NE Layout), Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, who was travelling towards Yusufguda at the time.
