Kannur, Aug. 12 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has announced that " As part of the goal to realise an uninterrupted road network in the state, Rs 2,028 crore has been allocated for the construction of a total of 60 Railway Over Bridges (ROB), while inaugurating the Koduvally ROB, near Thalassery in the district, on Tuesday.

Mr Pinarayi Vijayan said, "Of this, Rs 1,800 crore will be spent through the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board" (KIIFB). Railway overbridges are indispensable for increasing the speed of road transport in Kerala. With that vision, the State Government has conceived the "Kerala Without Level Crossings" project".
