Visakhapatnam, March 17 -- Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana on Tuesday said tenders worth RS 14,000 crore have been invited to provide drinking water to every household in state, and safe water supply would be ensured across municipalities within two years.
Speaking after inaugurating the Alluri Sitarama Raju Park in Gajuwaka near here, he said drainage works worth Rs 5,000 crore are underway and additional central assistance of Rs 4,000 crore is expected for infrastructure development.
The minister said a survey for the Visakhapatnam Metro Rail project is being conducted by RITES and the project would be taken forward after submission of the report.
