New Delhi, July 30 -- The government has released Rs 132.93 crore financial assistance under the 'Cyber Crime Prevention against Women and Children (CCPWC)' Scheme to States/UTs for capacity building including setting up of cyber forensic-cum-training laboratories, hiring of junior cyber consultants and training of LEAs' personnel, public prosecutors and judicial officers.
Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar said in a written reply in Rajya Sabha that to strengthen the mechanism to deal with cyber crimes, including cyber crimes against women and children in a comprehensive and coordinated manner, the government has taken several steps including commissioning Cyber Forensic-cum-Training Laboratories in 33 States/UTs.
