Nadaun, Oct. 1 -- A modern milk plant is nearing completion at Rit village in the Nadaun assembly segment of Hamirpur district.

Nadaun is the native constituency of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

The project involves an investment of approximately Rs 11 crore.

The plant is expected to benefit livestock farmers across Himachal Pradesh, generating direct and indirect employment. It will directly employ around 50 people.

Paras, the head of the milk plant, stated that initially, the plant will produce milk, yoghurt, and lassi.

Future plans include the manufacture of sweets, benefiting Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Una, Mandi, and Sirmaur districts.
