Patna, Feb. 25 -- Bihar Urban Development and Housing Minister Nitin Naveen sanctioned Rs 100 crore for waste management under the swachh Bharat mission.

The Minister said here on Tuesday that the fund would be utilised for solid waste management and sanitary landfilling in 139 Civic bodies. He assured us to enhance the amount as per requirement.

Naveen said that the removal of garbage was on the top of the agenda and the department was constantly exploring scientific disposal of the waste. He said the department was functioning on reducing, reusing, and recycling principles of waste management.
