Hyderabad, July 30 -- In a major crackdown on tax evasion, the Telangana State Commercial Taxes Department has unearthed an unprecedented Goods and Services Tax (GST) fraud involving a Hyderabad-based private firm, M/s Keshaan Industries LLP.
The scale and method of the fraudulent activity have alarmed officials, with the suspected tax scam crossing Rs 100 crores in fake invoices.
Based on credible intelligence, Commercial Taxes officials conducted simultaneous inspections at multiple locations linked to the company, including its corporate office on SP Road, Hyderabad, a godown in Bansilalpet, Secunderabad, and factory units in Kalakal Automotive Park and Muppireddypally villages in Medak district.
