Agartala, March 21 -- Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha asserted that the government has undertaken various measures taken by the state government to counter mosquito menace in Agartala city.
He said drains in Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) are regularly cleaned and monitored to prevent mosquito breeding,The increase in mosquito populations in the stagnant water was acknowledged by Dr Saha, who also mentioned the ongoing efforts to cover most drains in Agartala and the challenges in mosquito control in large cities.
An allocation of Rs 10 crore for mosquito control and city cleaning initiatives for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 financial years has been specifically designated to the AMC.
