Patna, Sept. 25 -- Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today said that the first installment of Rs 10,000 each will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of 75 lakhwomen under Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana.

Choudhary said here the total amount of Rs 7,500 crore would be transferred on September 26.

He said that under the scheme, one woman from each family will be given financial support to start employment.

An initial grant of Rs 10,000 is being provided, and if needed, additional assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh will also be given once the employment begins. The scheme has been introduced to make women self-reliant, he said.
