Aizawl, March 2 -- Marking what he described as a shift toward stronger grassroots planning, Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Monday disbursed Rs 1 crore to each district under the District Catalytic Intervention Plan Fund, stating that the move would enable districts to implement their own priority projects with dedicated financial backing.

The funds were formally handed over during a function at the Planning & Programme Implementation Committee Room here, where the Chief Minister presented bank cheques to representatives of the districts.
