New Delhi, Sept. 30 -- In a significant step towards improving sanitation infrastructure across several villages of the national capital, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has approved the setting up of 15 Domestic Sewage Treatment Plants (DSTPs) and the laying of a new sewer network to provide fresh connections.
The development was recently shared by Delhi Water Minister Parvesh Verma, who outlined various key decisions made by the board.
These 15 DSTPs are expected to benefit around 12 lakh people once completed.
The new sewer network will improve the situation in 37 villages and 59 colonies across three assembly constituencies, Narela, Bawana, and Mundka where residents have long faced difficulties due to the lack of proper sewage infrastruct...
