Jaipur, May 1 -- A toss-day selection shakeup and contrasting pitch readings set the tone for a high-stakes IPL clash here on Friday after Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag opted to bat first on a dry and patchy surface, while both sides confirmed multiple changes to their playing XIs.

Parag, after winning the toss, admitted the surface was not the usual Jaipur track and is expected to slow down as the game progresses. "It's not the usual Jaipur wicket. It has some dryness and looks patchy. Hopefully, it'll slow down in the second innings. Chasing 228 always helps, but as a collective we want a complete performance," he said.
