Dimapur, Oct. 1 -- The Rising People's Party (RPP) today expressed concern over non-inclusion of the non-Naga indigenous tribes of Nagaland for recruitment in the state police.
While appreciating the state government for opening up 1176 posts of police constables for recruitment through "open rally", the RPP, in a release, said it is disheartening that the non-Naga indigenous tribes of the state continue to be marginalised.
It pointed out that the recruitment notification dated today invited only those applicants who are categorised as belonging to the indigenous Naga tribes of Nagaland.
"This omission of non-Naga indigenous tribes of the state from job opportunities reflects poorly upon the policy makers of the state," the RPP observed....
