Guwahati, May 26 -- A day after senior Congress leader Ripun Bora tried to defend party MP Gaurav Gogoi against the allegation over his visit to Pakistan, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday said that the government will record Bora's statement and would take further action.

Bora, while addressing a press conference on Sunday, said that the wife of MP Gaurav Gogoi works for an international NGO, which has worked in different countries, including Pakistan.

"With regard to her work, she had received a salary from Pakistan; she had also visited Pakistan for her works. But is that enough to suspect her patriotism? Apart from Gaurav Gogoi, family members of many Indian politicians, bureaucrats and businessmen are working in Paki...
