Shimla, Aug. 19 -- The Himachal Pradesh Assembly today witnessed heated exchanges between the ruling Congress and the opposition BJP over the alleged failure of the state government to release adequate funds under the Himcare scheme. Raising the issue during question hour, BJP MLA Vinod Kumar claimed that a family in his Nachan constituency was forced to sell jewellery to fund medical treatment as hospitals were not receiving timely Himcare payments. He accused the state government of failing both government and private health institutions.
