Bhubaneswar, Sept. 8 -- The state-of-the-art Hot Strip Mill-2 (HSM-2) of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has set a new benchmark on September 7 by achieving its highest-ever daily production in terms of coil weight.
The unit rolled out 416 coils weighing a total of 9,444 tonnes, surpassing its previous best of 9,430 tonnes recorded on March 24, 2025.
This remarkable feat was made possible through seamless coordination and dedicated efforts of the HSM-2 collective, supported by several key departments.
