Los Angeles, Dec. 14 -- 'Eden', a survival thriller directed by Ron Howard and starring Sydney Sweeney, is preparing for a second life on streaming following a disappointing theatrical run earlier this year.
Inspired by true accounts from the early 20th century, Eden is rooted in the experiences of European settlers who attempted to carve out a new existence in the Galapagos Islands during the 1920s. Penned by screenwriter Noah Pink, the film Sweeney steps into the role of Wittmer, alongside Daniel Bruhl in the role of her husband, Heinz, who joins Dr. Friedrich Ritter (Jude Law) and Dore Strauch (Vanessa Kirby) in leaving their native Germany behind.
