Bucharest, June 12 -- Romania secured a 2-0 victory over Cyprus at the National Arena in Bucharest in Group H of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Goals from Florin Tanase and Dennis Man late in the first half were enough to hand Romania a comfortable win, keeping it in contention for a top spot in the group.

Tanase opened the scoring in the 43rd minute after a swift counterattack initiated by Man. Just before halftime, Man doubled the lead with a composed finish following a one-two with Denis Dragus.
