Rollback of "Gabbar Singh Tax" structure a victory for Congress: Ajay Rai

Lucknow, Sept. 22 -- On the eve of the nationwide implementation of the reformed GST structure, the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) has declared September 22 as "Gabbar Singh Tax Rollback Day", hailing the reduction of the GST tax slabs as a historic policy victory for the Congress party, particularly for Rahul Gandhi.

UPCC President Ajay Rai on Sunday strongly criticized the BJP-led central government, calling its celebration of the rollback "laughable," as the decision comes after eight years of public outcry and political opposition.
