Mumbai, Feb. 5 -- The Mumbai Crime Branch's Anti-Extortion Cell has arrested a fifth accused from Pune in connection with the firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty's residence in suburban Juhu here on February 1, an official said on Thursday.

With the latest arrest, five accused are now in custody, while the main shooter remains absconding.

According to the police, the firing occurred at around 12.45 am, when at least five rounds were fired towards the first floor of the filmmaker's building, with one bullet striking the glass of a gym. Investigators said all five arrested accused will be produced before the court for remand. The four accused earlier arrested in Pune were remanded to Mumbai Police custody until February 5.
