Mumbai, Nov. 30 -- The decision to cut trees at Tapovan in Nashik to set up a Sadhu Gram has sparked widespread opposition.

After MNS leader Raj Thackeray issued a strong warning to the Maharashtra government over the matter, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) MLA Rohit Pawar today criticized the government on social media.

Taking aim at the state administration, Pawar said that those in power-who treat corruption as devotion and power as faith-can never understand Tapovan's true importance. He alleged that the ruling leaders, particularly those managing Nashik's affairs, are only concerned about profit.
