London, April 23 -- English rock icon Billy Idol says that his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is well deserved, because he is "f***** awesome".
One of the 14 artists waiting on the list of induction in the rock museum's catalogue, Idol's nomination comes alongside other high-profile artists such as Oasis, Soundgarden, The White Stripes, and Black Crowes among others.
The 69-year-old, who is well known for his role in the punk rock scene as part of Generation X, and for his eclectic solo career with albums such as 'Rebell Yells', felt that his induction was well deserved.
