Patna, July 6 -- In order to enable complex surgeries using cutting-edge technology in government hospitals, Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey announced to set up a Robotic Surgery Unit at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Patna.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Robotic Surgery and Advanced Medical Equipment Department at Jai Prabha Medanta Super Specialty Hospital, Pandey said that the move marks a historic milestone in the health sector of Bihar. He said that surgeries were now possible within the state due to the modern technologies and faster recovery options.
