Kochi, Dec. 23 -- In a rare act of medical heroism, three Doctors in Kerala performed an emergency life-saving surgical procedure on the roadside to save a critically injured accident victim in Ernakulam district.
The incident occurred on Sunday night near Udayamperoor following a collision between a scooter and another two-wheeler, leaving three persons seriously injured.
One of the victims, identified as Linu V B of Kollam district, sustained severe injuries to his face and neck and soon developed acute breathing difficulty as blood obstructed his airway.
Dr B Manoop, Assistant Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Government Medical College, Kottayam, who was passing through the area, stopped on noticing the accident.
