Mumbai, Nov. 23 -- The Central Crime Branch of Mumbai Police have seized five and a half kilograms of ganja and arrested four persons during an anti-narcotics operation in the Kalamboli area of Navi Mumbai, an official said on Sunday. The action was part of the ongoing drug-free Navi Mumbai campaign.

According to officials, the operation was initiated after Anmaldar Omkar Bhalerao received specific intelligence regarding a planned site of narcotics near D.D. Dhaba on Roadpali Link Road. Acting on this tip-off, a police team laid a trap at the location and conducted a raid. They seized contraband and other articles valued at around Rs. ten lakh.
