Srinagar, March 14 -- The ruling National Conference on Friday stated that the roadmap presented by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the budget 2025-26 will revolutionise the tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement, NC Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal emphasised the government's crucial plan to promote religious tourism in the capital city and explore lesser-known destinations along the border for tourism development.

"This initiative is a much-needed step that will transform untouched destinations into major tourist hubs. The focus remains on strengthening tourism infrastructure, enhancing visitor experience, and ensuring sustained growth in the sector", he said.
