Nagpur, Dec. 13 -- union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday said that road works worth Rs 1.50 lakh crore have been approved for Maharashtra and will commence from 2026.

Gadkari visited the legislature complex to attend a book release event marking the centenary celebrations of the Vidhan Parishad (Legislative Council).

Speaking to reporters at the Vidhan Bhavan premises, where the state legislature session is underway, he said that the works would begin within the next three months.

The union Minister said that the Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation (MSIDC) will construct a new Pune-Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar expressway at Rs 16,318 crore, for which an MoU has been processed.
