Kabul, Aug. 12 -- One commuter lost his life and five others were injured in a road accident in southern Afghanistan's Helmand province, the provincial police said in a statement on Tuesday.
The collision occurred when two passenger vehicles crashed near Lashkar Gah, the provincial capital. One person died on the spot and five others were injured, said Mullah Ezatullah Haqqani, spokesman for the provincial police.
Haqqani identified reckless driving as the main cause of the crash, adding that the injured were taken to a nearby health center for treatment, where some of the conditions were reported as critical.
