Nagpur, Dec. 7 -- The Regional Meteorological Department (RMD) has issued a warning that cold-wave conditions will persist in some areas of Vidarbha on December 7 and 8.
The department informed that a new Western Disturbance, which is in the form of a trough in the mid-tropospheric westerly winds at 5.8 km above sea level, is active in the north.
Due to this, cold-wave-like conditions have formed and cold has increased in many parts of Vidarbha with a slight drop observed in temperature.
The Meteorological Department stated that during the past 24 hours, the minimum temperature in different places in Vidarbha remained significantly below normal (5.1 degrees Celsius).
