Chennai, Feb. 9 -- Railways Minister Ashwini Vaisnav on Monday stoutly refuted Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin's chargethat the Centre has ignored the state in Railway projects and denied fund allocation and said budget allocation to TN has increasedmore than 8.5 times since 2014, reaching Rs 7,611 crore in 2026-27.
He was reacting to Mr Stalin's letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to ensure speedy execution of Railway projectsin the State, including release of funds for land acquisition and revival of those project kept in abeyance and promised to provide full support from his government in this regard.
