Patna, Oct. 16 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yogi Adityanath today launched a sharp attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), accusing it of turning Bihar into a "Jungle Raj" during its rule from 1990 to 2005.
Addressing a rally in Danapur after filing of nomination by BJP candidate and former union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav, Yogi said that Bihar is the land of knowledge and democracy, but the RJD government pushed it into lawlessness. When other states were progressing, Bihar was under the grip of mafias, he said, adding that the fodder scam brought immense shame to the state.
