Patna, Jan. 3 -- The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) today slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over an alleged objectionable remark on women from Bihar and demanded strict disciplinary action and a public apology from the party leadership.

RJD spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan said here that the statement issued by Girdhari Lal Sahu, a BJP leader and the husband of Uttarakhand minister Rekha Arya, was not only against the dignity of women but is an insult of Bihar. He called upon the BJP leadership to take immediate and exemplary action in the matter.
