Patna, May 25 -- Rashtriya Janata Dal Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav today expelled his eldest son Tej Pratap Yadav, MLA, from the party for six years, and from his family.

In a social media post, Lalu Prasad Yadav, said that the decision for expulsion of Tej Pratap Yadav from the RJD as well as from the family was taken following his "most irresponsible act".

Yadav said that the activities, public conduct and irresponsible behavior of his eldest son were not in accordance with his family values and traditions.

Ignoring moral values in personal life weakens collective struggle for social justice, Yadav wrote, stating that under such circumstances, he removed Tej Pratap from the party and family.
