Patna, April 8 -- Amid nationwide protests from all opposition parties against the newly enforced Waqf Board Act, RJD has challenged the Act in the Supreme Court, describing it as unconstitutional.
Chief spokesman of RJD Shakti Singh Yadav said here that his party had opposed the Waqf Board Amendment Bill in both Houses of Parliament, but it was passed based on the numerical strength of the NDA. RJD had filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the new Waqf Board Act, which was accepted, he added.
