Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 28 -- Excessive screen time, combined with a surge in consumption of unhealthy food ordered online, is emerging as a major driver of heart attacks, particularly among young adults in India, a leading cardiology expert has warned on the eve of World Heart Day.
Dr. Naresh Purohit, Executive Member of the Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences and renowned preventive cardiology specialist, cautioned that screen time is "no longer just a concern for eye strain or mental fatigue" but has become a significant cardiovascular risk factor.
