Chennai, Nov. 18 -- Star Indian crickter Rinku Singh hit a sublime unbeaten 98 andShivam Mavi struck a belligerent half century, to rescue Uttar Pradesh against TamilNadu on the third day of the Elite Group A Ranji Trophy match at Coimbatore today.
Rinku and Mavi's key knocks have spiced up the race for the key first innings leadas the contest was evenly poised, with Uttar Pradesh, despite suffering a middle ordercollapse, ending the day at 339 for six in 113 overs when bad light stopped play.
Tamil Nadu had scored 455 in their first innings. The visitors still needed 117 runs totake the first innings honours with four wickets in hand and all eyes on Rinku.
