Ranchi, Oct. 9 -- The 61st Governing Body (GB) meeting of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), held today under the supervision of retired Justice Amreshwar Sahay, approved several important proposals aimed at improving patient services, staff welfare, and institutional development.
One of the key decisions taken during the meeting was to provide Rs 5,000 as immediate financial assistance to the family members of patients who die during treatment at RIMS.
The amount will be transferred instantly through UPI payment at the hospital itself, ensuring timely support. Earlier, the assistance was sent through bank transfers, which often caused delays. The scheme is expected to cost around Rs 7 crore annually.
