Itanagar, May 24 -- In a significant milestone for the ambitious Frontier Highway project from Lada to Sarli, the formal launch of compensation disbursement to project affected families (PAFs) of East Kameng district was held on Saturday in Seppa.
Presiding over the ceremonial event, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, along with Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung, and local MLAs Hayeng Mangfi and Kumar Waii, distributed compensation cheques to 10 PAFs whose land falls within the Right of Way (ROW) of the highway.
In his address, the Union Minister emphasized the strategic significance of the Frontier Highway for the border areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
