Aizawl, Oct. 22 -- union Minister of State for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju formally launched the BJP's campaign for the forthcoming Dampa Assembly bye-election at West Phaileng today, setting the tone for the party's push in the north-western constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Rijiju assured that every commitment put forth by state BJP president Dr. K. Beichhua and the party's official candidate Lalhmingthanga Sailo would be pursued at the Centre if Sailo is elected.
He said the Modi government was committed to ensuring Mizoram's development, irrespective of the state's political alignment, and had extended cooperation to the Lalduhoma-led state government in implementing various central projects.
