Mumbai, Nov. 14 -- Ahead of the local body elections in Maharashtra, a rift appears to be brewing within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), an integral component of the BJP-Shiv Sena led ruling alliance.
Cracks are perceived by political observers to be developing within the NCP with the emergence of two power centres, one headed by party president and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, nephew of Sharad Pawar, and the other by state party chief Sunil Tatkare.
A clear indication of the rift is visible if one looks at the 2025 Star Campaigner list just released by Tatkare.
