Cannes, May 18 -- American filmmaker Richard Linklater paid tribute to the French New Wave and reflected on the state of global cinema during a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival, where he presented his latest film "Nouvelle Vague", a behind-the-scenes homage to the making of Jean-Luc Godard's landmark film "Breathless". "Nouvelle Vague" tells the story of the making of Jean-Luc Godard's "Breathless".
