Hyderabad, May 29 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday caught a revenue inspector (RI) while accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 in Hyderabad.
According to an ACB statement issued on Thursday, the accused officer, Bhoopala Mahesh, who is posted as revenue inspector at the office of the Tahsildar, Musheerabad Mandal, was caught red-handed by the City Range Unit-2 of the ACB.
The officer had allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from the complainant in exchange for issuing a family member certificate, an official service. He was caught while accepting Rs 25,000 as part of the demanded amount.
