Hyderabad, March 27 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday performed Bhoomi Puja and laid the foundation stone for the first phase of the Sri Seetharamachandra Swamy temple expansion and development works, estimated at Rs 351 crore, at Bhadrachalam in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.

Earlier, the Chief Minister, accompanied by his wife Geetha, offered special prayers to Lord Sri Seetharamachandra Swamy at the temple.

Later, he is scheduled to participate in the grand Tirukalyana Mahotsavam (celestial wedding ceremony) of the deity at Mithila Stadium. On behalf of the State Government, the Chief Minister will present silk robes and pearl Talambralu to the presiding deity as part of the traditional offerings.
