Revanna's bail plea back in HC despite SC rejection
Bengaluru, April 7 -- In a significant development, the Karnataka High Court on Monday agreed to hear the fresh bail plea of suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna in a rape case, despite the Supreme Court having earlier rejected his application for relief.
The move has sparked renewed interest in the high-profile case involving the grandson of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda.
Justice Pradeep Singh Yerur, who is hearing the matter as part of a designated special court for cases involving MPs and MLAs, observed that due to upcoming court vacations, the petition would likely have to be taken up after recess. However, he offered the parties an opportunity to argue the case on April 15.
