Chandigarh, Nov. 13 -- A Punjab Police escort vehicle allegedly rammed into the car of retired Lieutenant General D.S. Hooda on the Zirakpur flyover near Mohali on Wednesday evening, prompting outrage and a swift response from the state's top police brass.

Gen. Hooda, a former Northern Army Commander, accused the police driver of deliberately hitting his car, describing the incident as a "reckless and intentional act." He and his wife escaped unhurt, though their vehicle sustained significant damage.
