Puducherry, July 10 -- The administration has relaxed the restrictions imposed on the beach road here following the lockdown and opened it for public from Friday.
District Collector Dr T Arun in a release here on Thursday night said that the relaxation of restrictions will be from 5 AM to 12 noon.
This is only for walking purpose for the public and is being reopened with conditions that there shall not be any event or congregation of persons on the road, wearing of mask and maintaining social distancing is compulsory and there shall not be any spitting on the road, besides strictly adhering to the Centre's directives of COVID-19 management in public places.
Any violation shall invite penal action, the Collector said.
