Mumbai, Sept. 25 -- The Maharashtra government has imposed strict restrictions on the size of hoardings across the state, including Mumbai. As per the new rules, hoardings can now be a maximum size of 40 feet by 40 feet, and those going beyond this limit will be removed.

The government has also banned hoardings on building terraces and compound walls. All municipal corporations, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), and other government and semi-government agencies have been directed to take action within a month.
