Srinagar, July 19 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo today formally kick-started the renovation and restoration work of the ancient Vicharnag Temple, also known as Vichar Sahab,
in Srinagar.
The Chief Secretary visited the ancient temple, a site of immense historical and religious significance, to take an on-site assessment of the ongoing efforts aimed at its revival and conservation.
The restoration is being carried out under the government's broader initiative to preserve and protect the rich cultural and architectural heritage.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo and Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Faz Lul Haseeb accompanied the Chief Secretary during the visit.
